I guess I will design my own version then. the issue is you made it too thin, and no supports on the springs, they need to be encased

Well, the idea was to have it the same thickness as the pcb itself. But since it is parametrizable, you can easily make it thicker if you want (just click on the customizer button). The original (where I had the idea from), was the same thickness and worked fine (but was laser-cut out of one piece rather than printed).
If you get around making you own version or adapting this to your needs, please let me know and I will link it in the text for mine.

Closely watching this. My laser module 405nm 500mw for my ender 3 comes in today.

Please post updates.

Also perhaps a angled flat piece on the corners of the apring extension to stop the plastic spring like action from curling it up?

Hi. I only now finished my laser cutter conversion, so I've not really tried this out. So, I've not fixed the curling and I think I'll try cutting it out of a piece instead of printing it next. I'll post any progress I make. Please let me know, if you have any more suggestions or if you tried something yourself (in both cases: successful or not). The code is all there for experimentation. So for now : don't expect this to work 'out of the box'.
