This is the beginning of a project to make tool holders that work with Wall Control peg boards. 3D printing pegboard accessories wasn't very successful for me, particularly with a metal pegboard -- the pegs would snag and break too easily when moving the item.
But my pegboard is by Wall Control, which also supports slots! Rather than try to print hangers, instead I've created a "bracket" that you can use with the 7/8" Wall Control hook
You'll need one for each end. Insert each hook into the Wall Control slots and the 3d printed brackets slides right over them.
My first design is a pliers holder for 8 pliers (13mm x 34mm rounded rectangle)
NOTE: The Hanger STL (and iges/step files) are for integration into remixes - you don't need to print them. The hanger is 5/8" wide and its center needs to be a multiple of 1" (2.54mm) from the opposite one. Build your tool shelf in between two of them!
I've printed up to 0.40 and the tolerances were ok.
I used 25%, but might have been excessive.
The top of the item has a tiny rectangle cut out and the text will be right side up on the back.
Print UPSIDE DOWN and you won't need any supports.
Fusion 360. The hanger is its own component and the tool shelf in between is designed separately. I used a joint to separate the centers of the hangers to be a multiple of 2.54mm or 1". I then used a Loft to merge the hanger with the shelf to make it look nicer.
Print this upside down with supports. I really wanted the drop for the holster so that this could be placed higher on the wall, and the hanger protects the back of the calipers.
Print these upside down, no supports.
The smaller holes on the sides are for pencils.
I went down to as little as 7% infill on these because they are big.
