This overly complicated spool holder is made to go with an extruder mounted flat (on top of the power supply in my case). If you have a 12V 30A PSU on your printer, then you can print out the power supply mount which goes with this (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2872995).
The spinning model uses 1-3 608zz (normal skateboard) bearings, and an M8 or 5/16" bolt that is 30 to 60 mm long to act as the shaft that the bearings go on. Assembly is pretty easy. Put the bearing/bearings into the bearing cover. That sits in the cut out made for it, in the middle of the main model, and the bolt should go through the inner part of the bearing to make it spin freely. Print out the two STLs with "moving" in them for the spinning one, or the single "not_moving" STL for the not spinning one if you don't have the bearing(s) or bolt for this.
I've attached STEP/STP files for easier remixes.
