I'm releasing the files to my FT Simple Scout fuselage which was featured in the following videos on my youtube channel. This was my first attempt at designing around an existing FT design. I found the Simple Scout was the wrong plane to try and combine 3D printing and foamboard. The design isn't really finished, but I probably won't revisit this one, since it would be better to start from scratch. I learned a lot... I'm releasing the .stl files without any instructions, so no guarantees on how yours will turn out. It does need to be printed with thin walls at as high a temperature as possible for layer bonding.
Feel free to experiment with it yourself, and if you do, please let me know.
3D printed FT Simple Scout fuselage
3D printed FT Scout fuselage update and new plane!
I printed this in PLA+ and used CA glue to assemble. The gcode files were generated in Simplify3D which is the only program I seem to be able to get decent thin wall prints from. It should be printed with 1 outer shell and at high temperature for layer bonding. I mention a few other tips in my youtube video also.
