I like the design, but I do not see how the pulley needed on the x axis is attached to side opposite the stepper motor. How did you accomplish that?

I added two pictures (two last one) to description with opposite side of the stepper motor with mounted belt roll GT2. This part called mocowanie_rolki.stl . I used screew M5 to mount belt roll GT2t. If you mounting this - easier is pull the strap through the hole and put it on the roll and now put it in the handle.

Hello which is the stl for the bearing lm8uu holder.

Sorry , my mistake , now I added lacked file (lm_u08_lg.stl).

Ok, It's enoght robust for milling, soft materials like acrylic, wood?

Certainly enough for a laser or plotter. With a 3 W laser, I cut a hole in the 3 mm plywood - I needed 3 runs. 2mm balsa cuts in a single pass. Moving a photo to A4 wood is 2 hours.
I'm not sure if it is stiff enough for normal engraving. Probably enough for a 0.1 mm or 0.2 mm milling cutter - I did not try it. You still need to make some extra table and Z axis.
