Snake with 4 movable segments.
Kind of looks like a worm.
Just print and go. No assembly required.

Just print. You could print it a little smaller, but the hinges might not hold. I've attached the 3dm model files.

perfect! awesome snake! slicing with kisslicer.

Really cool design. I really like moving parts printed in place with no assembly or fasteners required.

I was wondering if you've printed this in PLA. I would expect the overlapping part of the hinges to fuse to the supporting part underneath, but I would love to be wrong about that.

Unfortunately my 3D printer is still disassembled in a box due to a recent move, but I look forward to trying to pr
int this eventually!

Thanks. I have only printed it in ABS. Let me know how it turns out or if you have ideas of a modification that might help.

I'd love to know how the hinges are made. Is there a hinge from which this was derived in part?

I added pictures of a vertical and horizontal cross sections of the hinge/joint.

The two sides of the joint overlap and support one another during printing.

I also added a single segment stl file.
