This figure was originally scanned for the Stanford 3D Scanning Repository of the Stanford Computer Graphics Laboratory:
A user at
converted the Stanford scans to OBJ, and I converted that to STL.
Both sites grant non-commercial license provided attribution is made.


I printed this figure 4 inches high to save printing time, and because frankly, any bigger than that he starts to get just a bit too scary for me!

What were your printer settings for the photographed model? (material, fill, shells, support, etc.) You said the print is 4 inches tall, but how tall is the STL model? Thanks in advance!

Omg, it was ages ago... ABS for sure, and probably 200µ resolution. Support is automatic on the Up - I probably used a 30 degree angle threshold or thereabouts. I don't recall the un-scaled size of the STL, you should be able to just load it into any slicer or STL editor to check it.
