This is a wonderful horizontal spinning spool it works well and is easy to print! i used paracord for line on it because its thinner and is strong! enjoy!
So i went ahead and modified it to have 4 locking positions via notches on the spool and a small locking pin on the spool guide. I also added a slot so you can slide the guide back and forth and made the guide a bit taller and bit longer. The spool holder also got a bit of an overhaul it got 2 small rectangles on it, so it can hold the guide in place when you lock it down to prevent it from spinning. If you have any idea let me know and i can work on making a modified design for you!
The spool will be the only part that you need supports on to fill between the top and bottom of the spool. The center of the spool holder will need just a little bit of filing to get an m8x60 bolt to fit through it easily. You will need an m8x60 bolt, a nut for said bolt, a 608 bearing too part # 2rslc3 is the one i used and some washers (fender washers work great). The bearing will go in the spool on the bottom i would recommend gluing it in.
all it may need is a little sanding and filing after you remove the supports and that should be it!
