*Updated file to be on the bed correctly. No longer standing on Z axis.
On a whim I decided to create a simple Tri-force Amiibo base. To liven it up a bit I added stencils of the "Zelda" (from the BOTW logo) and the "Z" from that logo (minus the flower) in the center piece.
I inset the center piece by 2mm to convey the missing piece. Originally I was going to place a different character in the middle but noticed that the Guardian worked really well.
I have some plans to potentially do one with a stencil of the Hyrule Crest instead of the Z but for now, here it is.
Tolerance is decent on this if you have an accurate printer. All amiibo go in and out nicely and don't slip out.
*You will need a large build plate. I used a 200x 200 bed but lightly smaller will work.
I used a heated bed and Gold filament (Hatchbox) at 200 degrees fiirst layer and 197 degrees subsequent layers. This took about 10 hours. The infill is triangles (eh?) and I used 3 walls to attempt to mask any visibility of those walls from the outside.
The "Zelda" on the side could have been better and I might consider inlaying it more in the future.
Same goes for the "Z" in the center.
