This project is still just a concept for an ultralight on rail direct drive hotend carriage for my CoreXY 3D Printer. It will provide standard accesory adapters (fans, sensors) from https://www.thingiverse.com/chito https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2494642 modular mount collection, so you may reuse what you have.
The goal is to create a low weigth powerful direct drive system, so the choosen NEMA 17 stepper is slim size but with the use of a Bondtech BMG extruder compensate its lower torque and provides a good push for flexible filaments, without compromising the inertial mass.
The idea is to combine strong push extruder with high accelerations on the CoreXY without the bowden hassle.
Doing some test to measure rails flexures and vibration model. Feedback are welcome.
