This script makes vases and bowls that are composed of four clockwise and four counterclockwise spirals. To design your own vase or bowl, click "Open in Customizer".
You can customize the degree of twisting of the clockwise and counterclockwise spirals separately. If you specify a degree of twist of 0, you will get a column rather than a spiral. If you specify a negative degree of twist, it will reverse the direction of twist. For example, if you specify a negative degree of twist for the clockwise spirals, it changes them into counterclockwise spirals.
You can also customize the shape of the clockwise and counterclockwise spirals separately. (The shape of the face of the spiral is easiest to see if you specify degree of twist = 0.)
To design a vase to print on a PotterBot, or other 3D printer whose slicer needs a solid object, specify Base thickness the same as the height of the vase.
Whether you will need to print with supports depends on the Flare factor you specify. The more your vase or bowl flares out or in, the more likely you are to need supports. I printed the purple vase in the photo without supports, and printed the white bowl with supports.
