This is an evolution from my J1772 holder/holster that have actually been selling quite well since I went into production with injection molding. (now available on amazon.ca and amazon.com)
This version is for type2 plugs, which are primarily used in Europe. I have been asked a couple times over the past few years to make this, so I eventually decided to overcome the challenge and attempt it.
I made this part in freeCAD (a departure from my experience with blender)
I verified manifold with old frere netfabb software, created gcode with Slic3r and controlled the 3d printer with pronterface, used PLA white plastic.
If i ever get around to injection molding this one, I'll post a link here.
This probably one of the biggest prints my 3d printer has done (it is a reprap prusa mendel by makergear, from 2012 I think) and it still works! it took over 14 hours! The photos speak for themselves. If you are going to attempt this, you might have better results since you probably have a newer printer. I first attempted this flat on the print bed and the print failed because the angles kept curling up and knocking the nozzle off course. The sucessful print was done at an angle so most of the walls are at 90 degrees to the bed, but it took a lot of plastic, the final print was almost 200 grams.
print nozzle is 0.35mm, printed at 190 degrees C
used blue painters tape for bed adhesion.
