Do you ever have the problem of not having enough hands to hold six water bottles??? well i know i do! I have created a water bottle holder that can hold up to six water bottles prefeabbly Poland Springs Water bottles. This creating will help the user bring water bottles to there location with enough hands, not struggling to hold everything else because you have an extra hand free as well. The way the holder holds six bottles is you stick the cap horizontally into the little sots and it dangles from the mechanism.
While creating previous holding devices I constantly was running into was the excessive amount of filament. So this time i made it a goal to use less filament, and still have it be a successful design The way I did this was not surrounding the water bottles with walls, but instead having them dangle from a handle. The way I designed this was I first measured the water bottles cap and mouthpiece, then using those dimensions and measurements i went and designed a semi circle and attached it to the holder. This may seem like a quick and easy project but there was a bit more to it. After that I printed out the cap holder and tried to put the water bottle in ti, but it failed, the water bottle mouthpiece and cap went in, but then it went it it was not secure and well right down, so now at this point i have to restart the process of measuring and trying to get it so it's a tight enough fit for the water bottle to fit in securely and not fall through.
After the Third try of creating the holders design to fit the cap it finally worked. After I did that i then developed a block to hold sic of the individual slots together. After I did that I had to develop a way to fit the handle in so that it could be unnoticeable attached to the base. What i did was extruded a rectangle on each of the bases sides. The on the handle i made two rectangular boss extrudes from the inner sides to it fit together like a sandwich. To make the handle more comfortable to hold I put a curve on it. When making the handle i decided to put a little cut out of a water bottle on each of the sides for fun.
Note: When printing this it does need Supports on both pieces
