Summary

Coffee Saver is a project to create a reusable and versatile cap for an open bag of coffee granules, which can be produced on a 3D Printer.

The main CAD software used for this project is OpenSCAD with additional functionality provided by Dan Kirshner's OpenSCAD Threading Library and PGreenland's Text Library.

Version 3 allows the cap to be placed over the open bag and clamped in place by the two external clips.

This Thing has been tested on a Makerbot Replicator 2X.

If you make internal thread, it can be printed upside down with minimum to no supports at all. Also letters can be engraved, not embossed, to ensure it can be printed upside down

Looks like a great design! Is this something you'd need to print "with supports"?

Cheers :) Yes, I printed it with supports. The main piece has quite a large hollow underneath it on the build plate. However, even though there was a lot of support material 90% of it came off easily as one chunk.

Awesome... thanks for the quick reply! I'm going to give this a go. Thanks for all your work on it!
