This token signifies gratitude.
In my daily life I meet people who make meaningful impacts all the time. Because I am a maker I can print out a few of these coins to keep in my pocket so that when it happens I can stop everything for just a moment and give one of them away.
"I want you to know ... that I haven't ever thought about things that way ... that you made me feel important ... that I haven't laughed so hard in a week ... that I am blown away by your attitude/dedication/dance moves/etc.
I 3D-printed this so that when I met someone who made a difference in my life I could give them a physical reminder of the difference they made.
So I'd like you to take this token, perhaps as a boost when you need one to remind you that 'You Matter', or perhaps to pass on to someone when they make a difference for you."
Generally I get to talk with each of these wonderful people about 3D-design and maker culture and how accessible the technology is, which is fun for me. I also get to know people better and sometimes make a new friend through social media, I've even met potential employers this way.
There is great power in acknowledging the people around you and encouraging their best attributes!
Do good in the world, pass it on, and tell em' the Pineapple Prince sent you!
The YouMatter Token is designed so that the crest on the underside should be partially visible from the front if it is held up to the light.
The weight is optimized to feel nice when ya hold it.
The pineapple scales were made in TinkerCAD using patterned duplication.
The lettering was done using a guide disc as in my Element Spinner.
The Pineapple relief was made from a photo that was edited in paint.net, saved as a black and white PNG and converted to SVG for import into TinkerCAD.
The crown was made using TinkerCAD magic!
