This is a Raspberry Pi based garage door controller with a timer to keep your door shut. In addition to the timer, the opener also sends email alerts if the door fails to close or if the door has been open too long.
The ruby-based code for use on the Pi can be found here: https://github.com/abegosum/carhole_minder
Here are more details about how I build the full product and what components are required. https://thelurkingvariable.com/2018/06/19/a-garage-door-controller-based-on-a-raspberry-pi/

Supports are required for the front of the box only.
Because I didn't put a very tall lip on the box, it didn't hold together as tightly as I initially hoped. As such, I used clear shipping tape to anchor the front to the back.
I designed this using FreeCAD. I've provided the source files in case anyone wants to to modify or remix the project. Please note and follow the provisions of the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license if you do so.
