Opensource High resolution DIY DLP 3D Printer Kit with RepRap technologies.

DLP 3D Printer uses a normal projector as shown in the pictures and prints with UV cure resins.

Lunavast XG2 DLP 3D Printer Kit

A projector with native XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) resolution and a normal lamp (NOT LED) is required separately. I purchased a broken one at US$30 at eBay like auction site. The color wheel was broken but it is not used for DLP 3D printing :)

With 0.1mm X-Y resolution, the size of normal build area is 102.4mm x 76.8mm.
Because of XG2's original sliding VAT and Stage mechanism, it can double the build area to 102.4mm x 153.6mm with future software update. (Z height is more than 100mm)

No modification is required for the projector. So, you can still use it to show movies or data from PC. The universal projector holder frame design can fix any type of projectors.

Build area: 102.4mm x 76.8mm (Normal mode) or 102.4mm x 153.6mm (X2 mode)
Resolution: X-Y 0.1mm Z 0.1mm
Printing speed: Fast printing speed (Still testing)

I am studying different DLP printers before building my own. Unfortunately I cound not get why your printer requires 4 stepper motors.
As far I understood from the video 2 motors required to move build platform. What do other 2 do?

BTW, links in the description do not work. Could you please update them?

Very lovely Piramids printed by Lunavast XG2 .
(Professional supplier of filaments, photopolymers for 3D printers)

I have build my own now, with the help of your ideas and those of Gary Hodgson. Now a few months on I have developed a total new Resin which is much more affordable than the current resins in the European market. I have overcome the ''sticking to glass'' problem the bottom up printers have, by adopting the resin formula to this. The resin doesn't require modified projectors, even a moderate wattage beamer will do (mine is 180watts). If anyone needs any help, or any resin just drop me a line.
Best regards and thanks again!

I'm also very interested in the resin you developed, would really appreciate further details. My mail is: [email protected]

i am very interested in this resin. can u tell me more about it ? [email protected]

very promising...awesome ;-)

Do you have any video that shows it printing?
