please be kind to this square friend
it is a very friendly cube
During Zeldathon Champions, @mojofibers tweeted a doodle of a "Companion GameCube". This was such a good idea that I had to print it!
It took me a while to get a no-supports model figured out, mostly in order to get the handle clips to work with a variety of tolerances. Now it works on either of my printers.
STL files are included for a single piece (if you are set up for really good supports) or with a sturdy clip-on handle (pictured).
Monoprice Mini Delta + Rapide Lite 200
Sliced with Slic3r, rotated to get the top infill aligned. Supports are not required for the two-part model, but will be required for the all-in-one model.
I used 3D Solutech Silver Metal PLA for the pictured models.
It prints in about 90 minutes on either of my printers.
Adding the handle to the main body should take significant force, but not require a hammer (unlike some of my prior revisions...). It should also be very secure, requiring even more force to remove without breaking.
This design was made in Autodesk Fusion 360. I have included an F3D export of my design in case you want to make your own modifications.
