Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress. Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!

Does this thing squeak or vibrate whilst the printer is working?

This looks super bad ass... However, with the screen being covered by the bed, what if something happens and you need to stop the print?

Thank you for this thing! Thumbs up to you!

Please, you can have a look here.

Creality Ender 3 assembly

Looks great. Any fear of the boards overheating from the screen covering the fan vent, now?

This is awesome! Now, add a spot for a raspberry pi and make it a 3+++ :D

I am still working out kinks, but there looks to be enough room to add Pi mounting posts in the frame where the screen is placed. If I ever get around to finishing the designs and confirming it fits more than just one Ender 3, I can try to work out the addition.

My main problem lately is that I have two Ender 3 and they vary enough that a design in one doesn't fit properly in another. Also, Creality recently changed their board so my initial design has different mounting places and size than the newer one.

Could you just upload the files for others to remix to their own measurements? I'd have no issue with having to slightly mod the measurements to fit my own. That would save you from having to do different measurements for each printer. Just a thought.

there are files missing in the rar. only the drawers are inside. :'(

They are not missing because they are not done. As the description and update state, I am still working on this design and have not released any file that is not fully tested.

Where did you get the files for the actual printer model? I want to try to get it for mods I want to design.

I modeled everything myself based on the first Ender 3 I received and built. Since then, the Ender 3 became completely open source and Creality released all files (software and hardware). I have yet to go back and confirm my measurements to those that Creality released, but the file folder included DWG files for most all things.

I was going to ask same question, assuming it's missing STEP file to achive the 3D assembly, also DWG can't be opened even in autocad.
in the meantime that Creality should update their files, would you please share your Ender-3 model ?

Did you succeed opening their DWG files ?

Speaking about these found in : https://github.com/Creality3DPrinting/Ender-3/tree/master/Ender-3%20Mechanical

That Github file dump is what I was working off of. However, the dimension prints and the BOM listing has dimensions that are not 100% accurate to what my printer actually has (e.g., the plans call for the center 4040 extrusion to be 250mm but one of my Ender 3s measured at 255mm and the other at 252mm).

I didn't even bother with DWG files as I already had the extrusions modeled. Instead I simply went off the lengths indicated and then tried to build the model from there. The actual dimensions show some series variance.
