NEW VERSION V3
V3 makes the inside of the blade thinner as per the reference photos. printed, it requires less sanding.
Coming soon V4 will make the inside a single mm thin, requiring sculpting with putty, this will give the blade center 0 layer lines
This is a model of the Makonde Dagger for the Punished Props community project! It was a fantastic exercise in Fusion 360, done in about 2.5 hours. It's still rough, and the angles aren't perfect (sanding definitely required) but I wanted to release a base for people to expand on.
This dagger is daunting, so giving anyone who wants a first step seemed like a nice thing to do! :)
My NEVA printer isn't set up for cura, so I couldn't print the center in "fuzzy surface" as I would have liked to. (In the upcoming days, I'll upload the files separated, so you can print the center separate.)
My setting turned out to take 11 hours.
17% or more (for sanding and detailing)
Still printing at the moment of publishing
... and using the fillet tool about 100 times!
Modeled in Fusion 360, Sliced in 3d Builder.
