A troll was following this project, posting countless comments with misinformation. This project was reposted to remove the ultra-right hate speech of an obsessed racist.
Beware of new thingiverse accounts setup exclusively to “talk” to each other spilling hate.
This is reality of America today, lunatics of extreme views were given equal time at the table, discussing pros and cons of flat Earth, evolution, or superiority of their race. This time, however, these brown shirts have computers.
REPOSTING This is the reposting of the previous project after large number of page-long comments of personal attacks with insults drowned any possibility of a civil conversation.
WHO STARTED FIRST ARGUMENT This is not about who started separation of kids first which triggered hate-filled comments about Obama in the previous posting of this project by an obsessed follower of our orange leader. The first argument is irrelevant, used to confuse the issue. If the actions are barbaric, we need to stop them.
PROGRAM HISTORY The program of separating kids existed before for special cases, for example, when a kid entered our country with a parent carrying drugs. The shift to the federal prosecution of all cases changed that and caused all kids to be separated from their parents, a barbaric act in my opinion. In pages after pages of comments of the previous posting of this project, the argument was made that it was legal to do so. That’s true, the kids were taken away based on a quirk in the law of unforeseen consequences. Once 2,000 screaming kids filled facilities around our country and thousands of family members were losing their minds trying to find them, the case went to court and the court issued the ruling: it was no longer legal to do so. Our government was ordered to stop it. It doesn’t matter how legal it was when it started; it is illegal today to do so.
CRIME OF PETTY MISDEMEANOR There were pages and pages and pages of comments by our troll(s) in the previous posting of this project about people crossing the borders committing a crime. It is the crime of petty misdemeanor, the same as reckless driving in some cases. We don’t take kids away and send them 200 miles to a holding facility for several months in such cases. Stormy Daniels, a porn star who was paid $130,000 to keep quiet about her alleged affair with our president, was recently arrested under the same statue of misdemeanor. Her criminal activity? Allowing someone to touch her when working at the strip club.
SHAMING ARGUMENT “If you don’t want kids separated, why didn’t you start this project years ago,” or “If you don’t want kids separated, the blood of people killed by immigrants is on your hands.” “if you don’t like this, why don’t you do or don’t do something else.” I do not want kids separated. Our courts ruled that such program is inhumane, and it was stopped. I didn’t start this project years ago because we separated kids in special cases only (when an adult carried drugs, for example), and not on a massive scale before the courts stopped it.
BLAME TRUMP ARGUMENTS I don’t care about the fragile ego of our superior orange leader or his fanatical followers who can't stand a word of blaming him of anything. If this program of “zero tolerance” existed under Obama, I would protest it.
FELONY ARGUMENTS This is a gaslighting of the process, through countless calls to a ridiculous data until we lose concept of what it is we are discussing. Crossing a border to ask for an asylum is clearly not a felony, and it was never a felony. If we call speeding a felony, we could argue that anyone going over the posted speed should have their kids taken away. But speeding is not a felony, and kids stay with their parents. Crossing the borders, like speeding, is not a felony.
AUSCHWITZ ARGUMENT There was a program, started under Joseph Mengele in Auschwitz, of separating newborns from their mothers and sending them to Germany to be raised as Germans, commonly called Germanization. Our troll raved about it without end confused about the most basic facts of history. There were 1.3 million prisoners at Auschwitz, 1.1 million of them were Jews. The Germanization program excluded Jews because Nazis, like our troll, were racists.
Before the program was introduced at Auschwitz, kids were dying in hands of their mothers because there was no food for them. Once the Germanization program was introduced, mothers with kids selected for the next transport to Germany attacked German officers in suicidal attacks and paid for that with their lives.
In order to stop this wave of large number of mothers, the midwife-prisoner at Auschwitz, who delivered 3,000 kids there, introduced a program of secret tattoos of newborns selected for the Germanization program. The hope of reuniting with their kids, however unrealistic, stopped women from taking their own lives. Many of them were reunited after the war with their children through Red Cross looking for those hidden tattoos.
The example from Auschwitz is not given here to discuss Holocaust, or Auschwitz, or WWII, as attempted by our confused troll completely ignorant about the basic facts of history.
There was a large number of women attacking German officers and paying for it with their lives in their last attempt to protect their kids before the separation. This example shows how horrific such separation is for a parent. We are not at war now and parents of separated kids do not commit suicides.
THEY ASKED FOR IT ARGUMENT Parents in panic attacks frantically looking for their kids should not be called “snowflakes” or “criminals who asked for it.” Comments instructing them to “grow up” show the complete lack of understanding the level of their pain they experience. Their pain is real and overwhelming, and at one point in our history, in the most horrific place, it triggered waves of suicides. When we cause so much pain to others, that’s torture.
THAI CAVE RESCUE 12 kids lost at the cave triggered thousands of volunteers from around the world risking their lives to reunite them with their families. There were 2,000 kids taken away from their parents recently in my country. Calls for reuniting them with their families are opposed in hate speeches talking about them as “criminals.”
But the soccer coach also broke the rules by entering this cave with kids and if that happened in the US, the charges against him would be much more severe than a misdemeanor. Under what rule of insanity would anyone suggest punishing these kids just because they accompanied a person who broke the law.
Thai families sent letters to the coach letting him know that they didn’t hold him responsible for what happened. After all, he saved the kids from a certain death by outrunning the waters and taking care of them for 10 days. Mothers running through mountains to reach a border with 2-year old kids also outrun the horrific stories in their lives. They also do that to save lives of their kids.
SOLUTION This country may have open borders, or draconian laws against immigration, or anything in-between, it’s up to us to decide at the polls. Once we make our choice, the government will try various solutions, none of them ever popular, in their quest to deal with immigration. We can open our borders like in EU, where people drive between countries without stopping. We can build walls making the market for ladders which are 10 inches higher than the wall skyrocket. What we should never do, I believe, is to take small children from their parents and hide them away for months as a policy to deal with immigration. Such policy was tried here and resulted in a horrific abuse of human rights. It was reversed by courts as inhumane. Kids are still missing as a result of this policy, and their parents are still frantically looking for them.
