So smooooooth. Great improvement.

This is so much better than the stock design for my Ender 3. Thank you

Hi, how do you make those videos of your 3D printer printig, without the hotend to move?

Thank you for design, it works perfectly with my Ender 3.

Considering the comment down below about safety:
Since this is pretty well centered and adjusts automatically to the spool size you are using, I found that there is a lot less vibration on the machine now. And a lot less tear on the filament.

I added the filament arm as well, and it all works nice and dandy.

Smoooooooth?!
Hell, yes!

Thank you again for sharing this brillant mod, Jay!

yeah it goes well with the filament arm, would recommend everyone.
thanks for the feed back!

Really Nice spool holder, finish printed it now.

It looks dangerous. There should be some way of preventing the spooler to fall off in case of some kind of accident. Either caused by oneself or by the printer itself. Maybe a modified version of the spool holder somehow in between as a safeguard without touching the spool.

I admit it could be unstable at some point, but since I ever use this design never had an accident yet, I would consider make the design more stable structure. thanks for the comment.

What's the minimum and maximum spool diameter for this to work as intended?

sorry but no longer accesible to design file. check dimentions with cura or other software please.

Really nice spool holder. Almost done printing the parts for it.
My only concern is how stable it is. Have you had any problems with spool falling off or anything else when it is not supported in the middle?

Thanks for downloading, I have been using this spool holder for like 6month and working well even now. 1kg is the maximum filament weight I ever tried tho.

Would you mind sharing your design file? I would like to add the spacers to keep the holding parts in place, like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2451368
Thanks

do they need supports ?

spool_holder.stl parts may need supports but it won't need any supports if your printer can handle the bridging well.
