This is my take on the caliper... I design this one from the ground, taking care of every single detail.
Inspired on Steampunk and tech, this is a badass looking tool, build like a tank! but precise to use in everyday task.
And that's all... Happy printing!!!
After print all the parts sandpaper the "Move" parts to have a nice looking tool!!
Remove all the supports, on "Caliper Gear 1" (orange) you'll need to remove a small support in the hole, its easy to remove if you use a needle or a small tip screw.
Mount the "Caliper Gear 1" (orange) into "Caliper Move Back", then insert "Caliper Roller" (Red) into "Caliper Gear 1" (a little of sanding may be needed, I didn't give any space between the pieces, the idea is that the roller hold tight into the gear).
Mount "Caliper Gear 2 (Yellow) and 3 (Green)" into "Caliper Move Back" then insert "Caliper Fix" (Light Blue) into "Caliper Move Back".
Align "Caliper Move Top" or "Caliper Move Top Vernier" (transparent blue) holes with "Caliper Move Back" sticks and push until it close.
And that's all!! ENJOY!!!
Update 3 - 2018-7-17:
Add deep measurement, new "Caliper Fix Deep" and "Caliper Move Back Deep"
Update 2 - 2018-7-18:
Added new fixes.
Vernier Scale added on "Caliper Move Top Vernier" file.
Update 1 - 2018-7-18:
Already did some minors fixes and add some more details to the design. Didn't add the vernier scale to maintain the looks... but I'll add a second "Caliper Move Top" file with it, so you'll decide the way to go... that update will come when I get it done. I'll upload the new files later today.
Printed and tested.
