Note: This is only a tiny part of my AM8 upgrades. You can find the links to the other parts at the bottom of the description.
This is a housing for 12x15x10mm sinter bearings. Its bore pattern and general size fits the standard SC8UU housings. It can be used as a direct replacement when converting from 8mm rods + LM8UU to 12mm rods and 12x15x10mm sinter bearings.
Note: i revised these blocks as they wore out after about 6 months. My sinter bushing had a bit of play inside the old blocks, that's why i made a new version based on zipties. Now, after another 6 months of usage and abuse they still seem to hold up. I strongly recommend to use V2.
You will need these parts additionally to the printed housings. Part amounts are listed for one housing:
4x M4x10 ISO 4762 to secure housings on H-plate or Extruder bracket
4x M4 DIN 934 nut
2x M3x5 screws (computer mainboard screws will fit perfectly!)
- Push M4 nuts into housing
- Push bearing into housing
- secure bearings with M3 screws
- Mount onto printer
- Have fun :)
Assemble like the regular/stock AM8 8mm rods.

Print with at least 3 perimeters. PETG preferred. Resolution between 0.2 and 0.28mm will mostly work.
