6.25 micron over X and Y if you use 20t pulleys
5.0 micron over X and Y if you use 16t pulleys
If you want to print a low layer height on the Z, it is recommended to set the layer height to 0.04 or 0.08 to get the correct measurements.

Note: In the drawings there is 20x20x1mm Aluminium extrusions used, you can also use 20x20x1.5mm (that is what we going to use). Gives a bit more body for the threads you need to make.
Pictures (maybe video) of the progress will be posted in a later state.
There are some people on the globe that are asking "Is this only a digital design and not going to be build"
For those people, i added some photo's of the parts for this printer, mechanical / electrical / printed parts.
So the answer is, No it is not only a pure digital design.
Keep in mind that parts can change during the build.
If so, the part will get a minor update nr to it

While building it came to my attention that there was no drawing for the assembly of the Heated bed on the z-axis assembly.

In assy 07-0000 there was a M5 nut placed on a M4 bolt, changed the nut in the proper one. Meaning in the next drawings (R01), there is only a change in the amount of nuts.

Added part 15-0603 to the list to lift the start of the chain on top of the X-Carriage front side to have free travel movement for the cable chain end on top of the Y-Carriage.

05-0621 - 200mm fan stud: If you are going to use a large fan in the center top section, a stud can become handy if you bolt the fan to the top center cover, avoiding bending of the cover. This is an optional part, can be that you need to design something different then the one presented here. Not all 200mm fans are the same.
For the drag chain on top of the printer, i found that the current chain was to large.
I did not design a new chain for it, but i did the following.
Load the parts 15-0601 Link (you need 17x), 15-0602 End (1x) and 15-0603 Start (1x)
in your prefered slicer.
Select the parts and change the dimension 24,20 into 16,20 and print them that way.
The chain works without much effort.

As you can see in the pic, the first has a flat top, not allowing enough room to run free
The new part has a slope on it, placing the chain upwards, freeing space to run free

Print the following parts in either PETG or ABS. PETG will do.

Here is a cut table with the most efficient way to cut your extrusions.
All bought extrusions are 1000mm in length.
In this list, 2 Matching Spool Holders are taken in account with the cuts.
The cut table is also available as a jpg download, only 1 minor mistake, you need 9 x 1000 mm if you want the Matching Spool holder twice.
In here will be posts of photo's after completion of parts.
Each section of the build will have there own custom section for easy navigating.
If you look closely, i made a tiny mistake with dropping the heatbed on the glass plate.
The wires need to be on the side where the text "ULTRABASE" is printed.
Not that it matters much as you only need a bit more wire to extend the cables.
Wires would be to short anyway.
It just looks a bit cleaner on your design.
Do NOT attempt to remove the glass from the heatbed once it is placed.
The heatbed is so fragile that you will bend the aluminium and make the heatbed useless.
You working with pretty thin parts.
Don't tighten the bolts and nuts to fast on the clamping mechanism for the LM12UU bearings, just snug else you can break a part.
Would be a shame.
As an alternative, you can use lock nuts (Nyloc M5).

These parts are fixed with bolts and nuts that go all the way thru the aluminium extrusions.
Follow the drawings, do "NOT" fix the center part yet. this will be done later.

Mark the frame with a text reading "Front"
Use part 03-0610 from the marked side to have the z-rod holders aligned as much as possible.

When you have the Z-axis in place, measure with the cabinet parts if they fit properly. There should be roughly 1mm of free space left between part 02-0602 and part 02-0601 when the cabinet parts are in place.
When you start assembling the heated bed on the z-rods, it can happen that due crimp of the filament the aluminium extrusion of 140 mm is to long. simply cut of an extra 5 to 10 mm.

Connecting a switch to a fan (or multiple fans)
For connecting the fans that will be placed in the electronics cabinet we need a schematic on how to wire it up.
You can look at the switch in a way for + and - with a build in led that works as a limit switch, connections are NC, NO and C.
Red is +
Black is -
White is NO
Blue is NC
Green is C
I (maybe you too) want the switch to work as follows:
In the release state the fan and the led inside the switch must be off, when pressed they both need to work.
In this setup, i removed the blue wire that came with the switch connector, using red, black, white and green.
If you want to have it the opposite way, you need to swap out green with blue, that way the led and the fan are on when the switch is in release state, pressed they will be off.

Overview of the fans, power switch and MKS TFT 3.2" build into the covers. only the center back fan is placed to pull warm air out of the electronic cabinet, all other fans are pushing cold air on the electronic components.

09-0000 Electronics Layout that i am going to use. This is not the same as on the drawing, the drawing shows a possible layout. This to me is more convenient as i am also going to use an USB cable that will be connected to one of the covers. This way i do not need to remove a cover in case i want or need to flash the MKS GEN 1.4 board. An extra adjusted part will be added to the list when i picked the spot.
