These are parts for a microscope-cellphone adapter, to take pictures and videos.
The main change includes a shift from cartesian to cilindrical "coordinates" for the alignment of the camera to the optical path.
This design is meant to improve over the previous ones in different ways:
1) The smartphone is easily detachable.
2) Small adjustments are possible in one of the two directions (the radial axis) but coarse adjustments are possible in the other (angular axis).
Find a better way to fix the radial axis screw, so far we have used two nuts and glue for this purpose.
Further testing will surely reveal more problems.
The radial axis is a little bit complicated to assemble, see picture.
The two leftmost nuts are glued to the screw, to prevent displacement
The springs are optional, the smaller screw is not needed. All screws are 3 mm in diameter.
