A spool handle to be used on top of 3D printer frame. Originally designed for Monkeyfab Prime3D, but the handle should also fit similar 6 or 7.5 mm thick frames.
The axis and the 2 round plugs are designed for 103 mm wide spool with 53 mm internal diameter. Maximum external spool diameter is 30 cm. Handle can be also used for loose filament without a spool - see the last photo :)
There is a thing variation for another type of spool - see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:302027 for details.

I used PLA with 0.2 mm layer for triangle supports and spool plugs. The axis is cut into 2 parts that should be glued together - I printed it with 0.1 mm layer what gave it a nice smooth surface. No supports in slicer are required for printing Thing parts.
The yellow support consists of 2 triangle symmetric parts:
- SpoolHandle-a.stl / SpoolHandle-b.stl (6 mm printer frame)
- SpoolHandle-a-frame7.5.stl / SpoolHandle-b-frame7.5.stl (7.5 mm printer frame)
For printing I used 40% honeycomb fill - it's rigid as hell.
