Any data on how well these hold up under load (e.g. on a CNC build)? I'm thinking of using PETG or maybe nylon, 100% infill.
My suggestion is to buy the metal ones, but if you have a very precise printer than you can attempt to print and use them, it's a cheaper solution nonetheless
Totally, I wonder what's the price for those on shapeways or on a local sls/dlp nylon/resin printer and how much printed spacers last. I bought them at the end but for a prototype I used these printed from a kossel FDM printer in PLA and they did their job.
I agree, but if you need to test something fast and you don't want to spend a lot of $$ to see if it works with the real ones you can surely print few or dozen of them (FIY you can find the real ones on: vslot europe FR, openbuildspartstore US, robocutters UK, ROC 3D Printer Pro on Aliexpress CN [searching for "eccentric spacer"] .. and others in the future I think :D )
open hardware and open BOM ftw! :)
Nice for people with CNC mills/Routers but this is one of the parts I would never use in plastic.
