The tablets recommended for the Inmoov no longer exist and many are far too weak. This is a mount for the Intel NUC computer
Intel NUC NUC7i5BNK Mini PC/HTPC, Intel Dual-Core i5-7260U Upto 3.4GHz, 8GB DDR4, 128GB SSD, Wifi, Bluetooth, Thunderbolt 3, 4k Support, Dual Monitor Capable, Windows 10 Pro (8GB Ram + 128GB SSD)
It should work on all other current Intel NUCs as long as they do not change the design.
The nuc will mount in the Battery compartment. The battery mounts MUST be removed and the mount will screw to the back plate. It is a very tight fit as the USB wires on the nuc go towards the sides. The VESA mount that is included with the Intel NUC is used to mount the NUC to the new plate that is printed.
The NUC does not come with a screen. I use a screen from amazon. GeeekPi 7 inch 1024x600 capacitive touch screen.
This will be pressed into the cover (make sure your printer is calibrated, as it is an interference fit. Pass the cables through the holes in the back and screw together. This will now mount in the standard Inmoov back.
The touch screen uses 2 USB ports. One for touch communication and one for power. I think the screen can be powered by the 6 volt batteries, but this has not been tested (6 volts may be too much) .
The fit is also tight as the HDMI cable must be fed through the hole under the head after the panel is put on. I will look at making a new version with the driver board mounted a bit lower to see if it will go in with the cable attached.
Note: After using this a bit, the 7inch lcd screen is TOO SMALL. I would suggest looking for an 8 inch or even a 9 inch. The frame to mount the screen is VERY easy to modify for different screen sizes. The 7 inch is readable and useable, but a little hard to use as a touch screen.
The nuc has 4 USB ports built in and 2 more can be added with a new top plate, I choose to add a thunderbolt to 4 USB port Hub to give me a total of 8 USB ports.
The Intel Nuc is considerably more powerful and it starts up in a fraction of the time. This computer will be more than adequate for quite some time.
