When flying your FPV Wing ... did you ever just want to look down while you were cruising behind your mate and see what below in stead of just whats in front?
Well now you can!
This is a FPV Camera Tilting Mech for a Flying wing.
remove your forward facing camera and mount
cut out your Blunt section to fit the new cam mount and glue in place!
This has a few pieces to be glued in place, there are 2 replaceable bumpers the main blunt mount then the cam/tilt mech.
Note: If you nose dive into the road, rock, field, car or tree it will not save your camera!
There is protection there for a light to rough landing.
Best to print in PETG or ABS - PLA will warp in the sun.
No the profile will not match every wings shape but it will be close
I used a small sub 7-gram servo from hobbyking
did a curl spring control rod so not to damage the servo if it tries to drive it into the housing.
There is a hole in the back to pass through the cables from the cam and servo.
Use VHB tape or simular to hold the cam in place, hot glue might release in flight?
I also have a Pan & Tilt version but it protrudes too far in front and may get damaged on a not so elegant landing.
The Wing in the picture is the "Fragile Handle with care" 46" Hazard RC wing i destroyed hence the packing tape which is now a feature :)
My assembly with the hot glue was a little wild so it looks a little manky.
Print the Bumpers at 50% or above for strength
the rest can be 20%
Print all with minimum 3 outlines (5 would be best)
Auto support should be fine
You may need to flip these around to print better, I'm just lazy and couldn't be bothered.
Big flat surfaces to the bed ....
Not much cleanup needed.
Mount Cam Tilt plate to Tilt Mech first using 2x M3 Bolts and Nuts (use a little hot glue to stop nuts from coming loose)
Use 2x M3 bolts and nuts to mount Tilt assembly to the main Blunt Nose Body (nuts to go in recess on back)
*Attach bumpers with epoxy or hot glue to sides of assembly .. aligning the top corners with the corners of the tilt mech.
Cut foam of wing to suit - use your brain don't just mindlessly hack into the front of your wing, use a ruler and pen to mark out the space first ... then hack away!
