Car phone holder for dashboard:
The holder can grip any phone with a width of 75 mm to 85 mm.
I got everything from Home Depot.
• 7 x #6 1/2in screws
• 2 x 5 mm by 20 mm springs (these came in an assorted box of springs)
I suggest using a UV and heat resistant plastic to print the holder (ABS and PETG for example). I included an image of the orientation that each part should be printed in. Body1 should be printed with supports under the large circle at the bottom. The rest can be printed without supports. Scale Stand2 down by 0.5% - 1% if you want a tighter fit for the ball joint. I used 15% triangular infill and 0.2mm layer height on all parts.
Assembly is quite simple (see images). You’ll need a vise or clamp to push the ball joints into each other. Add a few drops of lubricate to help the ball joint move. I used silicone oil, but any plastic lubricate will work. You'll need 8 Pin1 for Arm1 and Arm1_MIR (4 for each arm). The pins go into the holes on the arms and stick out about 1mm on each side.
Use double sided tape to attach the holder to your dashboard.
Only Body1 require supports. Use a minimum of 3 walls/perimeters on all parts.
