I made this wallet because there is no wallet that satisfies my needs in the market today, not even ones that cost $100 ++. I need a minimalist wallet with the smallest footprint possible (as big as a credit card) that also holds my keys. I can go with a feature full wallet, but realistically my 4 keys and 5 cards are the things I really need to bring every day. The key organizer is a must for me because I'm really forgetful and lost/forget my keys all the time. With it being attached to my wallet, I really only need to worry about 1 item instead of 2.
In my one week of using this wallet, I found it to be just perfect. It virtually adds no bulk to my pocket, no fear of keys scratching my wallet/phone, no more key moving sound when walking while still having my keys and cards whenever I need them.
The prints do need a proper support in some area. They are relatively quick to print, so play around with the support until you get the result you want. For me, I found the support on the picture to be the one that works.
Extra Parts Needed
The assembly should be pretty self explainatory, but some notes to this:
- Use all-purpose glue to bind the elastic ribbon into an elastic band. I used UHU branded glue and it worked great. Make sure they are pretty tight so your card would stay.
- If your keys do not stay tightly, use some washers. This is especially the case for thinner keys.
- The bottom elastic ribbon is pretty tricky to place. You need to do a loop on each plate and glue them to the plastic. It should look like the pictures below once it's done.
