This Model represents a proof of concept and test run by Art Ross Designs (artrossdesigns.com) to develop quick, cost effective ways to print accurate residential building models for track and custom homes. This version is currently at 1/8"-1' (1:96) scale.
The house is simplified, its slab foundation exaggerated and is modeled without fixtures (toilets, showers, stoves, etc.) or other details (couches, counters, beds, etc). Additional tests may be run at 1/4"-1' scale (1:48 and common blueprint scale) and likely will be tested at 1/6"-1' (1:72). Those, as they will be edited to compensate for issues in scaling will be posted separately.
Currently this file prints alright without supports, but may need special attention paid to the retraction settings as it travels from wall to wall to reduce stringing.
Future Versions may include printed in place fixtures and furniture and multiple floors with more complex roof structure. (To scale this Simple Residence is only 1296 sqft - barely larger than a tiny home).
Printed in M3D's ABS-R Filament (a PETG Blend) at 235c on a glass heated bed with blue painters tape heated to 60c. approx 52 mm/s print speed.
House model Generated in Chief Architect, tweaked in Sketchup, Scaled to 1:96 (or 1/8"-1') and Sliced in Cura. Both files sliced and printed at the same time.
