This is the first version i'm going to release of this mount, I'm currently using it on my machine and have tested it on another machine so I do know that it fits. This mount was designed to properly mount the hotend, has dedicated part cooler built into it and also moves the X-axis end switch to give you more build area (this requires flashing firmware if you want to increase the build area)
This was built to use m3 brass inserts for all the threads, I used ones like I used are on amazon but they can also be sourced from a number of other sources. These are easily installed by pushing them in slowly with a soldering iron.
I took the original hot end fan and mounted it to the fan duct built into this design, and added a 30mm fan to cool the hot end like the original e3d hotend ships with. E3D V6 fans and ducts or copies can be purchased for very cheap online.
Due to the new position of the X-axis endstop you may need to push LM8UU X-axis bearings over towards the left (X axis max position) to ensure they do not hit and allow the machine home. The bearings are firmly held in place but should push over without too much difficulty
I will probably refine this design later when I get more time and post updates to it.
This was designed to not need supports when printing.
I do know the holes in the front cover are covered by about 2 layers or so, this was done intentionally as it made for a nicer print due to how my slicer handled it. its very easy to push the bolts through this.
I've printed this design in both ABS and PETG but i'd imagine it would work fine with PLA
