This tool facilitates the overhauling of hubs, pedal spindles, & more. The 1" hex can be used with any common freewheel or cassette removal tool.

Being 3D-print ready, the plastic will be much friendlier to threads & not mar them due to excessive force. These could be easily disposable, & afford you better anti-twisting capabilities.

There are two main configurations.
There is a floating variety with a simple centered tab. One jaw is labelled, & the other is unlabelled.
The second variety has two reference tabs that will lock jaw to a corner of the vise. It also has a labelled & unlabelled side. Obviously if you don't have a 6" vise, don't print this one.
