This is the second version of my spool holder for the Snapmaker 3-in-1.
With the enclosure I had some troubles with tangling so I designed this one with a filament guide and an optional variable brake.
Required parts for this specific version (you can edit in Fusion 360):
- 2x ball bearings 6203 (2Z)
- 1x blind-rivet nut M4, countersunk head I
- 1x blind-rivet nut M4, small countersunk head
- 1x screw M4x25 DIN7984
- optionally 1x spring plunger with ball, internal hexagon M4 (graphic enclosed)
(I had some of the blind-rivet nuts and wanted to add them to the design...)
Since I only use filaments from AprintaPro this spool holder is specially designed the holder for their reels (inner diameter ~53 mm, 55 mm wide).
The brake works with a set screw with a spring loaded ball on the tip.
I need this so get a variable friction because without it runs too good...
This is a work in progress thing - and I sometimes make special designs on request.
It has very loose fit (0,50 mm clearance in all diameters) at the moment but I will reduce it for the next snapshot.
Fusion 360-file included to make your own version or changes (other nuts, different diameters,...).
0,20 mm and 0,15 mm on the treads
silver and black
Supports just on the inner nut - or redesign it (I needed the specific design...)
All parts are small enough to be printed on the Snapmaker.
