Any idea if this works with sram road disc brakes?

I'm sorry I saw this but was on vacation and forgot to follow up when I got back! I just worked on SRAM road brakes the other day and could have tested it. I'd say it's maybe 50/50 whether it would work for those, can't say for certain either way, sorry. It is small enough to print it out and give it a try, though.

Made similar one for myself after seeing John Hall using bleed block with one corner cut away to clear pistons on Arron Gwin bike in GMBN video. Just didn't published it yet as first version allowed me to completely push out piston from SLX caliper and since then using it with caution. Didn't made it to fix dimensions on my piece yet. ;)

Sounds like this part - which I'll need to print as I've now got XT 4 piston brakes on a new bike!

Nice thing/tool again! Shimano should sale a thing like that :D
I defently need this for my XT brakeset because I hate it when the pistons came out to much and even falls out ...
So I will respond my experience with it as soon as I have to clean my brake ...

What do you do if the pistons fall out? I imagine that they can be pushed back in as long as they're aligned correctly, but I haven't found any confirmation of this online.

Thanks, when I saw the original procedure that started off with taking a hacksaw to a normal Shimano bleed block, I was surprised. It wouldn't be that difficult for Shimano to make a special service tool. I guess the reasoning is that this cleaning isn't a part of routine service, it shouldn't need to happen often. The calipers that I have that I used for testing this design were only a little bit dirty on the sides, and weren't sticking at all. Still, easy enough to make a 3D printed version that makes it easier, so I did!

of course the most bikers which no real mechanical interests gave there bikes to a shop when the brakes already damaged.
And for a standart inspection the most biker or even bikeshops don't cleaning the brakes such like that.
But I love my XT 770 groupset and hope that I can prolong it's lifetime also in this way :)
