This is the Hero Me, a small but powerful modular fanduct that will grow with your necessities.
The idea is to create modules for different fans configurations, and just use what you have in hands... the same fans, screws and tools that came with your 3d printer.
But for modders, the Hero Me is a powerful platform that will give easy access not just to the already created parts, but to the editable files too. This way the Hero Me will grow even without my participation.
Hope enjoy this insane idea!! lol
1) The Base: The base on the Hero Me was created to be robust, to add space where is needed, and to be easy to mound and mod.
2) Airflow: Good airflow is important! But what about the airflow on the heatsink?! the Hero Me channels the air to the front, sides and back of the heatsink, maintaining your filament cold where it needs to be cold!
3) Cable Management: The cables are positioned in the outside of the base, so no complications when mounting. The arm is positioned high to the cable will not interfere with anything down there...
1- Slide the Hero Me base from top, make sure the cables are in the outside.
2- Using the screw holder or the sensor base of your choice, fix the base to the backplate.
3- Using a ziptie, hold the cables in position.
4- Using the smallest screws of the stock blower, mount the pipes.
5- Mount your fans and you are done!
Update 2: Update the 5015 Pipes, make the arm holders stronger.. add 2 Touch Mi mounts... as I don't have one, I use Petsfang mount as template. Update the "Source" file.
Update 1: Source files are up!!! the idea is to share the base of all this, so people can create mods, or do what ever they like with this!! BUT NOT MONEY!!! AND!!! IF YOU DO MONEY WITH THIS, SEND MY CUT!!! LOL
I'll be busy doing home things... so, I'll make all this open... share your mods and I'll make them public... I'll create a section with all the mods and links, so people can find your stuff even easier.
That's all.. HAPPY PRINTING!!!!
