This Thing Does Not Work Yet
When I put together my enclosure and printed the original version of this design, using the stock power supply, I found that the cables are not long enough for the power supply to slide into place. This was because the PSU would have to slide into place from the front, and the wires from the power supply to the printer weren't long enough.
The V2 design has a small problem, the parts that are supposed to be close to the power cable and power switch interfere with the power cable connector.
I am working on making one of these enclosures I found on prusaprinters.org. However, I am not planning on having a lower table, I plan to have this sit on a big, flat surface. So I didn't have a spot for the original PSU holder. I wanted it on the outside of the table leg that makes up the enclosure itself, and I think I want the PSU to stand right-side-up so the wires come out of the PSU holder near the spot where the wires will go into the enclosure.
Still Not Working Yet
This new design is for the power supply to end up in the same position, but it will slide into place from the back, so the wires should be long enough.
Filenames that contain "RSU" are for the power supply being Right-Side-Up, as it was on the Prusa MK3 as assembled according to normal instructions. Filenames that contain "USD" are for the power supply being Up-Side-Down compared to the original assembly instructions.
I'll give it a try and let you know how it works.
Old Design - Deprecated
As soon as I print this up and give it a try I'll be sure to update this info.
Update 9/20/18: I may change how I end up mounting this on my final enclosure. If I do make the change I think I'm going to want it upside-down, but still have the on/off switch pointing forward. So I made mirror image versions of the files and posted them.
The little tabs with screw holes that stick out need supports.
The thing I am remixing includes STEP files for all the parts. I took the STEP file for the PSU holder, loaded it into SolidWorks, and modified it for my purposes. I found this thing on Thingiverse that had SolidWorks files of the Prusa MK3 printer itself, that's where I got the PSU model to use. I found a model of the IKEA Lack Side Table on GrabCAD and used that to make sure everything would fit up as expected.
