Here is a fun one
This model has a little of everything and a lot of crazy
Tested this one pretty thoroughly. Printed it a few times and feel like it is ready for sharing.
You wil need to print the following:
1 - base
1 - insert
1 - fan base
2 - caps
2 - trim rings
Hardware ( optional ) I say option as I was able to snap everything togethr and stay in place.
4 - #6 x 1" screws to mount fan into fan base
2 - 6-32 x 1" screws to mount fan base to base
1 - 40mmx 40mm x 10mm fan
I also added a few holes to the trim and body so you can cut yourself some small lenghts of filament to attach the trim to the body if yours doesnt snap in tight.
I would also suggest you use 4 bumpons under the fan base to give it some height and stay in place.
I would mount the fan so the airflow is downward on this one as it feels like it will drag the air in from the side vents and over the components and out through the base.
Step 1 add fan to fan base
feed fan cable through base
attach fan base to base
add caps and inserts to fan base
plug in fan
add insert into base
Assembly is pretty smooth. Only areas of concern is the pi does fit into the base pretty loosely. It is meant to be that way as when you add the insert over the pi it locks it all into place. Just make sure when installing the insert you center the ethernet / usb ports so the insert doesnt catch on the small flanges around the usb ports.
Enjoy! Lets see them makes :)
