Our friend Danny (aka 3D Printed Tabletop on YouTube) is currently running an awesome "Lost Dragons" Kickstarter. He has made tons of efforts to support and further the community, and many free models will be and have been released as part of the Kickstarter's success.
Since we at OpenForge love the community as well, we thought we would make some dragon-themed scatter to complement his campaign, and help to drive some awareness. The whole premise of the story behind Danny's campaign is that a bunch of ancient, lost-to-time dragons have re emerged in the world. This stands to reason that there must have been tribes or groups of worshippers who have held these dragons in high-regard for a very long time.
This OpenForge release contains two pieces of scatter to support that - designed to complement each other, or be used independently. The cracked skull of a huge long-dead dragon forms the rock-hewned throne of the tribe's leader, and the upper-jaw of the skull, embedded in a rock shelf with lit braziers forms and altar or place of worship.
As usual, both of these pieces print completely support-free and in one piece. Test prints were done @ .16mm layer height and I experimented with some weird new painting techniques.
If you are into Dragons, love 3D printing for tabletop, and / or love supporting the community and an awesome endeavor, check out The Lost Dragons Kickstarter now!
