This project is a culminating project at the end of a unit on multiculturalism. Students are challenged to design one of the puzzle pieces. They will cover the basic tessellation unit with images that represent the country they have researched or a significant figure. At the end all of the student pieces will create a canvas of various cultures represented when the puzzle is put together.
In this sample students have studied Puerto Rico and will cover the puzzle with Taino art and other important members of Puerto Rican culture. If you flip the piece over it tells you what it is.
