the rear right knob keeps hitting the print bed cable and loosening itself :( any chance for a slightly smaller or less tall version?

Very nice design, fit perfectly, I was thinking about how I was going to secure them but turns out not to be an issue.

What is the piece on the front there just above the screen?

Somehow I wasn't able to find the exact same one I printed. I guess this is the new Version:

Bed Handle V2 for AnyCubic I3 Mega (2018) by Metac

whats it for though? no idea what is the use of this? haha

It's to make it easier to pull the bed. Very handy! :)

oh wow, i thought way too hard about that. That makes a ton of sense. I was thinking of something way different hahaha thanks

Fits perfectly on my new Anycubic Mega-S (purchased May 2019). Thanks!

You have to scale down to +/- 65,5-66% and it will fit nice!

My knob on my i3 mega looks nothing like yours does

Its nice but you do need a hammer to push in the knob in the 3d print....... BTW it works great!!!! Reduces to force used to apply to turn the knob...... Would definitely recommend it!!!!!

I hear ya on the fitment issue...I just printed one of these last night and I think the outer 'knurling' on the black knob has maybe changed by Anycubic or maybe they just sourced a different knob for the assembly since MKingCharles designed this tire. Either way, it won't fit on my wheels without significant force and the knurling pattern doesn't match quite right. I can can take a photo when get home from work...

That's very interesting. Did you both just recently buy your i3 Mega? I guess some pictures and eventually a few dimensions would help out. If necessary I could add another version with adjusted dimensions.

Thanks for the response! I just got my Mega-S a week ago. The date on the QC card that was in the box was stamped 11/8/2018. I'm attaching some pics that show the major diameter, minor diameter, and knurl width for the knob that came with mine. Also, I've included a couple shots of the knob on top of the print for reference. Let me know what you think.

Many thanks for the pictures. But somehow this is more or less the same dimensions I used for the knob.
Actually the max. diameter is exactly 22.7mm.
I'm going to drop the link to the Fusion360 Model in the Things description. With that, you can compare all the dimension from the tire and your knob.
Already exited about your results. :)

Thanks for your feedback and I'm really happy that you like the design. I believe that the material has a relatively large effect on the pressing of the part. But to be honest, I never heard that it is too loose.

Спасибо за модель, работает отлично!

One of the most useful "things" for i3 mega.
Thank you !!!

Thanks a lot! Happy to hear that. :)

Dear MKingCharles,

Thanks for the beautiful knobs, works perfectly!

I have created a cable cover/guide for the hotbed cables, which prints in around only 20mins. I hope you like it as a fitting extension to your project: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3363489

works perfectly, thanks

Very glad that you like the knobs. :) And thanks for the cable guide. that's much better than only adding some zip ties. :D Very cool!

Thanks for the file(s), this works great, I can remember which way to turn for bed levelling now. Cheers to Convexity also for pointing out the bed cable holder, will print one off and add, great community support (:

Which type a material(filament) do you recommend?

I printed mine with PET-G.
Could imagine that due to the heating bed it's not bad to use a stable material.
But anyway, PLA should be sufficient. Pretty sure.

Good design. I had issues with the hot bed cable colliding with the rear knob due to the extended diameter. This caused the knob to turn making the bed very uneven after every print. I had to print an additional hotbed cable holder and adjust the cable to resolve the issue. FYI to anyone else who runs into bed level issues after installing this mod.

Thanks a lot for that hint!
I already had concerns that the cable might cause problems here. But luckily it didn't happen to me that it turned the screw.
To be on the safe side, I will print the cable holder myself. :)

Great. I print it with PETG and it works. Thank you.

That's great, glad to hear that. Thx for the feedback. :)
