This is a system that utilizes the "Nite IZE Steelie" phone holder system as an easily adjustable Webcam or light mount.
I enjoy filming prints and some times it is hard to get the right angle, This allows for quick precise changes without loosening knobs at joints, just rotate the camera, find the angle that is needed and it stays in place. The part I enjoy the most is that it allows me to move my camera from printer to printer quickly and easily, as I have placed ball mounts on all of my machines. It also allows me to keep a good, cheap, adjustable mount on all my printers instead of moving one from place to place
For my build I bought 1 inch steel ball bearings to use in various mounts (much cheaper than buying the steelie balls) , The mounts I made for these have some reliefs to allow the glue solid purchase.
One could also experiment with countersunk magnets as a replacement for the "official" steelie, I have not had the chance to try that yet. Keep in mind they would lack the silicone center that provides friction that helps keep the position of the magnet.
Most parts friction fit nicely but I would still add a little glue to help hold everything together as the magnets are very strong. Super glue on the printed part and a little kicker (or baking powder) on the joining piece or steel ball worked great for me.
Nearly everything except maybe the arm mounts can be printed with out supports.
This system is a handy compliment to this $20 adjustable arm. (have included a simple ball mount adapter that slides over the end and is held in place with the provided thumb screw.

Here is a larger arm you can also use with the provided adapter, and uses M3 bolts threaded into the holes to hold it in place. Manfrotto 244N Variable Friction Magic Arm without Camera Bracket https://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-244N-Variable-Friction-without/dp/B001CFCFVE
This steelie vent mount kit comes with a semi hollow ball with a M3 thread which is handy for keeping the weight down when using the extensions. (adapter file included)

Files have fairly descriptive labels which I hope helps, there are a lot of options it just depends on your application which may work best for you. Everything should be oriented in the best print alignment to avoid supports. Nearly everything except the arm mounts can print without support, depending on your material and cooling.
For the magnets I used the basic phone magnet, if this thing proves popular I will make options to include the more expensive but much stronger Magnet Plus version and Tablet version of the Steelie magnets, which would allow for longer extensions and stiffer mounts.
Super glue works well to attach the balls and magnets and the parts of the extension, The magnet mounts fit snugly over the magnet allowing for a secure fit even without relying on the provide glue backing. To attach to the back of my camera I removed the rear hinge with flush cut snips and filed it level before gluing the magnet mount on.
The "Ball mount for 20/20" is designed to work with zip ties or bolts and T nuts to attach to the 2020 frame of your printer
To make the extension:
You need to combine "peg for extension", "extension", "magnet mount for extension" (two pieces on one file just fyi), ball mount for extension, or the "vent ball adapter" and a M3 x 16 bolt/screw.
I did also make a little slide in holder for this Steelie dash ball in case you want to clamp this on without using the glue backing. (sorry I forgot to get a picture when I had this)
