Hi everyone, Willem Boshoff here with an exciting announcement!
The Circa 3D Printer V2 is available for you to download and build for free.
This is the second major public release of the Circa 3D printer since the project began in February 2017, and the first fully 3D printed iteration.
The Circa 3D Printer is an open source project which aims to make 3D printing accessible to ever more people in an exciting form factor which provides many unique benefits to the user by integrating rotational movement and 3D printing.
A few of these benefits include:
Massive build volume to footprint ratio - 200mm diameter (x, y) by 350mm (z) build height in a package thats 360mm in diameter x 500mm in height
Beautiful, Minimalist design which is easy to construct and maintain as well as
lightweight and portable
Entirely 3D printed body structure enabling printer 'self development' from day one
Potential for continued expansion of capabilities including into other materials (food,
ceramics & composites) and processes (laser cutting/ engraving, machining)
Rotating build plate is also used for 3D scanning of objects
Insanely cheap to build using a 3D printer with a build volume of just 300 x 300 x 100
- Wireless 3D printing using a Raspberry Pi and Octoprint also features an integrated LCD
display with an SD card reader and USB connectivity
Further Project Details Include:
As always thank you for your Interest in the project!
I would love to hear any feedback, suggestions or questions you might have regarding the Circa 3D Printer.

Need a printer with at least 300 x 300 x 100 build volume and a heated bed as many of these components will warp without one.
