With Halloween around the corner I had to come up with a costume, of course it had to involve 3D printing.
So instead of thinking of a 3D printed prop to match a costume, why not 3D print...the costume?
So I set out and started designing this armored shirt.
They're all simple shapes with some accents glued in place to look extra cool.
!Nothing serves a real protection purpose!.
I printed 2 bottom layer and then paused the print and stretched tulle over the bed and continued my print again.
This captured the tulle inside of the printed part allowing it to be sown onto the shirt and remain flexible between the parts.
You don't specifically have to use tulle, any porous but thin material will work, for example organza.
