A slightly deeper version (depth-wise, not philosophically) of my original Stackable Dungeon Tile Trays Quarter Inch Deep found which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3154542. This is a three quarter inch depth tray. This is not compatible with my previous storage tray designs, but still easily fits into existing Ikea Expedit or Kallax storage shelves/bookcases.
Pattern includes a full set, and then some, of 2.5 x 2.5in (63.5x63.5mm) base tiles scaled to the True Tile system (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1598221). I've decided to use True Tiles scaling as my baseline for a dungeon tile system. Other tile sets from other designers need only be scale up to this tile size (63.5mm x 63.5mm) for 3D printing and then glued onto the provided MDF tiles, rather than printing clips and various clip system bases
- saving on time
- saving on 3D print material
- providing easily transportable storage
- allows prearranged dungeon or other terrain layouts
- easy swapping out or flipping of tiles and... (wait for it)...
- cross system compatibility without any clips
In the future an alternate tile storage compatible with 1in squaring and additional deeper tray sets (doubling as risers) are highly probable for release.
It's your option how you wish to print the short walled True Tiles (or modify and make your own) and clip-on doors, or create your own modified doors from any dungeon tile system. Easily usable with SciFi or other genre tile sets as well. Intent was for quick assembly, layout and to have something that is convenient to port to friends houses or conventions.
Formatted for cutting on 3mm MDF cut from (Arch C) 24" x 18" sheet size, which fits across the bed of an Epilog Helix. I have provided the PDF and a SVG files that I converted online at https://cloudconvert.com/vsd-to-svg. Shared as is.
