Great job! there is the solidworks file, exactly what I needed, thank's !

very comfortable!

printing time: 1:31h

I made a couple of these into grips for an acrylic toy lasergun, they are also the perfect width to be carry handles for anything 1/4inch thick- they slide right on and hot glue- done!

neat, i personaly love the giant carabiner i got at the store, its like 5 inches long and has a padded grip, but the idea is similar, dispersing weight more evenly across your hand. hmm, i kinda just came up with an idea for a new version of this....

Nicely done. Practical, and the design's form allows for a clean print.

Awesome use of surfacing. The first thing I thought when seeing this is you could shape a piece of metal that fits into the groove of the handle and it creates a loop for holding lots of full plastic bags all at once. see pic

great idea! I'll see if I can scrounge around and find some suitable material.

That is a great idea! Except I haven't used plastic bags in a long time. I got a couple of these reusable grocery bags and they're awesome and they don't dig into your hands like plastic bags either: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000V1BJIU?tag=jujuorg-20https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000...

I wondered if this was an original invention, but it figures I found this similar thing called the Baggy Buddy: http://www.baggybuddy.comhttp://www.baggybuddy.com A "v" shaped groove might make yours even better.

Yeah I saw some of those "bag buddy" type things. I've been thinking about a way to add hooks or something similar but it might be tricky to do in one piece.

Damn you! This was one of the first ideas I had for things that I wanted to design and print, and every time I've brought the trash out for the past 7-8 months, the pain of those heavy bags digging through my hand like piano wire has reminded me to keep working on my Mendel (which isn't finished yet). You beat me to the punch! First the rubics cube, now this - my ideas are slipping away!

Nice job, it looks excellent. I'd thought while planning it that to keep the plastic from breaking, it might be necessary to have the ends of it tapered or rounded down, so there aren't high stress points at the ends for the bag string to crack. Does it hold up to super heavy bags?

hehe no worries. There's tons of room for development/improvement once you get your mendel going.

Yeah I added a fillet to the v2 design that's uploaded to reduce the stress concentration a bit but a better idea might be to make the entire V slot slightly curved.
