I was searching for an easy to print, multi-purpose strap that could be printed in TPU (Ninjaflex) for cable management and other organizational tasks.
I found this file:
and the recent remix, but they both had errors. Multiple un-joined bodies, non-manifold faces, my slicer wasn't happy with it, and neither was I.
So I used meshlab and then FreeCAD too make this version.
I lengthened the nub, added a chamfer on the underside, and extended the strap as one piece. The result is a very firm holding strap that printed beautifully.
Ninjaflex or Any TPU/TPE TPU
Use a line width 100 microns larger than your nozzle diameter, this has given me great results with Ninjaflex.
I also have my flow set to 110%
Using Ultimaker Cura v3.6
I isolated the loop/nub side of the original .stl (all of those faces were connected, the rest of the strap wasn't) and deleted the rest and re-exported. I imported that .stl into FreeCAD and made a solid shape from the mesh. I then modified that shape to my liking in the Part Design workbench.
If desired, you could use the provided .fcstd file to lengthen or shorten the strap as needed.
