Summary

This is the Spidex Micro quad copter design By Quaternium.es
They decided to open it design to everybody, so you can print one if you want.
I flies really well and can be printed on PLA.
It is design for motors similar to multistar 1704-1900 and propellers of 5x3, on 3s batteries.

Hi,

Is it possible to have the base split into smaller parts? My bed is only 190X160. I do not have the skill to do this myself but am willing to compensate someone that does.

I printed mine in abs and it has no rigidity at all, i'm a noob, does anyone have any hints on how to improve the rigidity on the prints?

Have a look at some of the remixed bases, they are much more ridgid

Ok I've printed a couple of these frames now as my first one eventually died during Operator assisted crash :) and have a couple of design improvements.
1) Can each of the motor mount holes be extended as a slot towards the centre to accommodate different motors. The motors I'm using have a slightly smaller mounting radius so I need to elongate the holes towards the centre, I think that by making the existing holes as slots would accommodate a larger variety of motors.
2) Can the Lateral Side be raised or elongated by at least 5mm to make it slightly taller? I'm using an APM 2.6 as my controller and with my servo leads in they get in the way of the battery compartment, so with my battery in the rear is out of the clip mounts.
Is there any chance of releasing your CAD files so we can modify the design?

Will this print on a Replicator Dual? when I import the model into Makerware it says it's too big.

It will print in an Ultimaker 2 which is the one I have, dont know others, sorry.

Very awesome :-) this frame is predestined for printing ! and also a very nice design for all FPV Parts. Thank you for Uploading and open the design.

Just printed out and now realise I needed to mirror one of the Lateral struts, so for others make sure you mirror one before printing
